Too Late

By Colleen Hoover
Too Late by Colleen Hoover digital book - Fable

Publisher Description

The instant #1 New York Times and USA Today bestseller, a story about a woman caught in a dangerous web of obsessive love, trying to find a way out before it’s too late… this new, updated edition is a “barn-burner” (New York Post) and Colleen Hoover’s darkest romantic thriller since Verity.

Sloan will go through hell and back for those she loves. And she does so, every single day. Caught up with the alluring Asa Jackson, a notorious drug trafficker, Sloan has finally found a lifeline to cling to, even if it’s meant compromising her morals. She was in dire straits trying to pay for her brother’s care until she met Asa. But as Sloan became emotionally and economically reliant on him, he in turn developed a disturbing obsession with her—one that becomes increasingly dangerous every day.

When undercover DEA agent Carter enters the picture, Sloan’s surprised to feel an immediate attraction between them, despite knowing that if Asa finds out, he will kill him. And Asa has always been a step ahead of everyone in his life, including Sloan. No one has ever gotten in his way.

No one except Carter.

Together, Sloan and Carter must find a way out before it’s too late…

Surprised Face with Open Mouth“This book was so traumatising , I threw up trying to gather my thoughts. The amount of SA in this book was so gross. 🤮 I only rated it a 4 ⭐️ because of the ending which was mediocre.”

Surprised Face with Open Mouth“This was a very fast paced book! Some of it was so so good and other parts I was a bit annoyed with. Love Hoover though and know that this wasn’t supposed to be released so really interesting…wish I would’ve been an OG on her first version.”

Expressionless Face“Ugh! I wanted to like this book so much. It was just so unoriginal. I feel like I have read this story and watched this movie a hundred times. I kept thinking it was over, and then it wasn’t. Also, women are not these weak things that need protection from a man. Yes, Asa is absolutely nuts, but Sloan’s character is portrayed as this weak female when Carter/Luke comes in the picture. I liked her so much more at the beginning of the story. It started great and went downhill. This book wasn’t for me. Sorry!”

Surprised Face with Open Mouth“Wow.. this book had me on my toes the whole time. I was actually very surprised how dark and really intense it got even though I knew about the trigger warnings. You just never think they’ll be that crazy. I feel like Sloan represents so many women who stay with their abusive partner because they have no other choice. It was truly heartbreaking reading how she gave Asa everything, and he gave her absolutely nothing. Carter (Luke) reminded me so much of my husband, in the way of how he’s so passionate and loving and does anything he can to take care of the ones he loves. The last 1/3 of the book had me on my toes, and I couldn’t put it down. Loved this book so much.”
