Thinking Face“It was good, it just dragged at times for me. I don't know if it's one of those books that's better read than listen to on audio books or what for me. Maybe it's just not for me, but it's obvious from the reviews that a lot of other people enjoy this book.”

Smiling Face with Heart-Eyes“The best way I can describe this book is that of a dream. I absolutely adored the writing style of Donna Tartt, how utterly raw and surprisingly charming her characters are, especially with their various vices. The overarching themes of reality and illusion give plenty in terms of analysis, which is what made this book so compelling to me. The story, despite seeming very unbelievable at times, was convincing enough to keep me glued to every page til Bunny’s death and a little after. Meeting with Bunny’s family felt it dragged a little longer than it should have. Outside of that instance, however, I can definitely see why so many people adore this book, for its Greek mythology references, beautifully written and engaging scenes, and overall suspenseful narrative, it’s truly one of my favorites now. It’s so clear so much thought and heart went into this book! I look forward to reading more of Donna Tartt’s works if they’re as beautiful as this one.”
