Publisher Description

In the playground it's the law of the jungle. At the school gate, there are no rules at all...
Life is hard for Sadie Roper. Her ex-husband is unkind and domineering, she's struggling with her return to work as a barrister after nearly ten years away from chambers, and her children hate their new school. They haven't made any friends yet and neither has she. She's at rock bottom when Liza, queen of the school gate, befriends her. Sadie is drawn into the heart of the world from which she was previously excluded, and both she and her kids start to thrive. So when Liza's family comes under threat, Sadie is the first to offer support, too loyal to worry about the danger to which she and her children might be exposed. She's keeping her friends close---what Sadie doesn't know is that her enemies are closer still...

“This was pretty average. Nothing really happened until over 200 pages in. It was also very predictable to me. I did enjoy all the drama - it was over the top but fun. The court case we were following was probably more interesting than the actual main plot.”
“This book was good and totally gripping, I could not put it down. There was a lot going on in this book and it could of gone in many different directions so the ending was totally unexpected and I was in complete shock. It started off as just your typical cliquey school gate Mums which I think we’ve all experienced a bit of but these Mums were a whole other level. There was just so much competition between them all and then they used their Daughters to compete against each other as well it was just absolute madness. The fact she tried to take out her daughters competition and drug her own daughter well my jaw was on the floor! And the Epilogue well just more craziness really! A really good thriller and I’ll definitely be trying out Blood Orange as well.”
