“Seriously awesome collection of creepy and haunting horror stories written by/about queer characters. A blend of the invisible horrors of day to day life for queer people, and literal stomach churning horrors you find in the dark. I loved the stories and appreciate the compilation of LGBTQIA+ writers. We need more queer horror!”
Rolling on the Floor Laughing Face“I really enjoyed this short story collection! This group of stories really speak to two of my favorite things in stories: horror and queer themes. My favorite stories were The Visitor, The Three Phases of Ghost-Hunting, and Anna!”

“This was so fun!! Welcome to the Hotel Paranoia and Guested were definitely my favs!!”
“Welcome to the Hotel Parinoia-⭐️5- I really liked this one, it was super creepy! It would make a great novel The Visitor-⭐️4.5- If my dad showed up at my door I would let him in too lol. Sometimes I still do little rituals we would do together. I wish the story was fleshed out a bit more but I still enjoyed it A Brief Intermission-⭐️5- I literally couldn’t stop laughing throughout this story. It was great Guested-⭐️4.5- I wish the ending was a little better Rocky Road with Caramel Drizzle-⭐️3.5- I didn’t really like this one. It was a good story but I just didn’t really connect with it. The Three Phases of Ghost-Hunting-⭐️5- I love ghost stories and queer girls so it no surprise I loved this story. I could totally see Iris, Bob, and Daisy hunting more ghosts to join their little group Nine Stops- ⭐️4.5- Super weird but I still liked it Leyla Mendoza and the Last House on the Lane-⭐️5- A super heartwarming and heartbreaking story all in one. I think the horror elements blended well into the heartwarming ones. A really great story about becoming yourself :) In You to Burn- ⭐️5- This was a really interesting story! I love the direction it took. I hope Jiyong gets the sunny spot he deserves Anna-⭐️4- I like how scary it was at the beginning but I didn’t really like the ending Hey There, Demons-⭐️5- THIS WAS SO CUTE”

About Shelly Page

Shelly Page is a young adult contemporary fantasy and horror writer making her editorial debut with Night of the Living Queers. By day, she’s a practicing attorney representing homeless LGBTQ+ youth of color. By night, she’s planning ways to scare her readers while simultaneously awakening their inner gay. She’s an oil painter, a lover of autumn, and possibly the only lesbian who doesn’t own a cat.

Alex Brown loves rooting for the final girl—especially if she’s a monster. Alex has a short story in the instant Indie bestselling young adult folk horror anthology, The Gathering Dark. Alex is also the cocreator of The Bridge, a narrative fiction podcast that’s had over one million downloads to date! Alex’s sapphic YA horror-comedy debut is Damned If You Do. Alex lives in Los Angeles with her partner and their two very chaotic cats. Night of the Living Queers is her editorial debut. As far as she knows, she hasn’t summoned an Eldritch God who loves pizza . . . yet.
