CEO & co-founder
Call me Padma. Here’s my story.
I love to read, paint and make. Along the way, I built a few things in the tech world. I was CEO of NIO U.S., plus Chief Development Officer of NIO Inc., a manufacturer of electric autonomous vehicles. I helped scale NIO from a start-up to successful IPO NYSE:NIO in just 3 years. Before NIO, I was the Chief Technology & Strategy Officer for Cisco. Here I led corporate strategy, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships and venture investments. Previous to that, I was SVP/GM for Cisco Enterprise and co-led Cisco’s worldwide engineering. Prior to Cisco, I was EVP/CTO at Motorola. Under my leadership, Motorola received the 2004 U.S. National Medal of Technology from the President of the United States.
I earned some recognition over the years; Forbes “World’s 100 Most Powerful Women” list for three years, Wall Street Journal “50 Women to Watch”, Fast Company “100 Most Creative People in Business”. I graduated from IIT New Delhi, India (undergrad) and Cornell University, New York (grad). I currently serve on the boards of Microsoft and Spotify. I am most proud of my family.
My favorite authors: N.K, Jemisin, Neil Gaiman, Paulo Coelho, Ursula Le Guin and P.G. Wodehouse.

VP of Product & co-founder
There are a lot of Jasons in this world. You can call me Shellen.
I’m an entrepreneur and product leader known for co-founding beloved products like Brizzly, Blogger and Boxer. When I’m not wrapping my head around tricky product problems, I’m mountain biking, hiking, playing the guitar and taking photos of my family. I love reading so much that I once made a product to follow all the blogs I love called Google Reader.
In recent years, I was the Head of Product for the Slack Platform, ran the Pins Team at Pinterest, and was the VP of AOL’s AIM. I graduated from St. Mary’s College of California with Liberal Arts degree in Fine Art. I enjoy advising and angel investing in people I believe in. I’ve spent the last couple of years recovering from an injury that left me with chronic pain. I’m better now but I’m at my best when I combine my love of design, human behavior, and product management to create something new.
My favorite authors: Neal Stephenson, Brené Brown, Cory Doctorow, and Douglas Adams
